ADVENTURE IN BOOKS: The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams
This book and the person who gifted it to me is the reason for this new section of our blog. My sister, who lives down in Texas, mailed me The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams. Sandy is a bookworm. In fact our whole family is, but the story the author tells in this books makes you really understand the human connection that can be made through books. All of a sudden I want to read every book that has meaning to the people I know and love. So sharing these reviews on our blog is our way of connecting more with our audience. Maybe you will enjoy these reads too and suggest to us your own favorites and why.
I don't want to give anything away, but the author tells a story of a mystery reading list and how this girl who never really enjoyed reading all of sudden found connection in this list of books and they help her through different parts of her life. It follows other unique and different characters such as an old man who lost his wife who was a reader and he was not. He found pieces of his lost love inside of the books she left behind. All the characters interconnect and a library sits at front and center. You guys know how we feel about libraries, and this book has eternalized that flame. I would highly suggest this book to anyone wanting deeper connections with the readers around them or who just love books in general. It is inspiring and foundational in an unconventional mode of human connection. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
